Research
Light and colour therapies, although ancient, proven valuable therapies over the ages, are experiencing a 'come-back' into modern scientific realms of medicine. Phototherapy (especially with the use of low level laser) seems to be heralding the way forward in modern medcine.
Even though there are now increasing numbers of clinical research papers being published on the field of low level laser therapy (LLLT), there are still relatively few studies investigating the therapeutic effects of colour therapy, in its many diverse forms. As such, research projects and documented case studies are an important contribution towards validating, exploring and measuring the true potentialities of this emerging field of medicine.
In light of this, Maniisha Bluntschli commits a certain portion of her clinical practice to research projects.

WHAT RESEARCH IS CURRENTLY BEING UNDERTAKEN IN THE CLINIC?
A research study - ‘The Psychological, Cognitive and Bio-Energetic Effects of Colour-Puncture on Individuals with Mood Disorders’ is occurring during the latter months of 2016. This involves the participation of people who are self-reported as depressed or anxious.
The protocol involves 8 visits to the clinic (2 per week for a period of 4 weeks whereby the participant receives sessions involving colour irradiation of pre-selected acupuncture points (auricular, body and scalp).
Data is collected by means of various tests and questionnaires, including a Heart Rate Variability test, a colour selection test, bio-energetic measurements on the GDV camera system. There are limited positions available for this initial testing.
Further studies investigating the effects of colour therapy on mood imbalances are planned for latter 2016 / 2017.
