What is the super diet? Basically, its eating as simple and fresh as possible.
Avoid labelled foods. If you need to read ingredients, its probably not good for you!
This means eating foods that come straight from nature - fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, yoghurts and some organic dairy, eggs, fish, some whole grains and cold-pressed oils..
Avoid sugar. That's probably the number one thing to avoid.... That means avoiding any foods and drinks with sugar in them (including alcohol and fruit juice)...
For a great read all about sugar and its effects on our health, look at ordering this book from your local library - Sugar Crush: How to Reduce Inflammation, Reverse Nerve Damage, and Reclaim Good Health by Richard Jacoby and Raquel Baldelomar.
Grains are another area of question - limit or eliminate them, particularly GMO (Genetically Modified versions of wheat). You can also order this great book to help inform you of the surprising effects of grains on your brain - 'Grain Brain' and 'Grain Brain Cookbook' by David Perlmutter.
You can obtain Western, Chinese and some Ayuvedic herbs at the clinic. These come in forms of both liquid extracts and pillules.
Generally liquid extracts have better absorption and effectiveness, due to the following reasons -
Taste is an important part of the medicinal effect (taste elicits secretion of specific enzymes)
Liquid soluble constituents (especially alcohol based) penetrates the micro-villi of the small intestine more efficiently than pills
Alcohol based medicines (even though alcohol content is low) assists in penetration through the brain blood barrier.
Liquid medicines can be tailor-made to suit your individual needs.
Pillules are also useful, particularly if they are small (as in the patent chinese pills) as they are also absorbed relatively easily.
